Casablanca Express Scam

Few months back, I received a call from a Casablanca Express representative. They sold me a two night package for some resort in Portland. This was basically for timeshare, we would need to attend some presentation where they would try to sell a timeshare membership. I have been to these before and I don't know why I do this to myself. This is just a sheer waste of time.

Anyways, I tried calling the number given to me for the reservation and I always get that the resort is booked for 3-4 months. Only months available are October and November. I mean those are lousiest months to step outside your home in Seattle and Portland Area. It's mostly raining during those months. So, I spent about $155 and I can't book anything. I am so unhappy with this situation. I think this Casablanca Express thing is a pure scam. Stay away from them. I tried calling them on various occasions and they have the same answer. I have been calling them four to five months in advance. How much more notice can one give to these people. One more thing, they are very nice when they are trying to sell you something but when you want to book the reservation they are the rudest bunch. I got burnt once, I hope it helps someone to stay away from this scam.

Update: I recently had a call from them and they did upgrade me to 2 bedroom. I am happy with this change but I still have the booking in October, not the best time to go out in Washington, Oregon area.

  1. My friend invited me along with him to a trip to vegas in August. I talked to a representative from the company today and told me a few things that brought up some red flags in my mind. The first being that the hotel that we are booked at is not even on the strip and the second being the flight isn't non-stop. To get a hotel on the strip and a non-stop flight we would have to upgrade to a package that is approximately $445 more. I was also told on the first night we could only be guaranteed that we would arrive before midnight and on the third day (departure) we would be leaving before 7am. Sounds like I should bail while I still have the chance..
